Disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate, also known as EDTA-2Na, is a good compounding agent in chemistry. The chemical formula is C10H14N2Na2O8, and the molecular weight is 336.206. Synthesis method, prepared from EDTA and copper metal salt;
The specific method is as follows: add 292kg ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and 1200L water to a 2000L enamel reaction tank, add 270kg 30% sodium hydroxide solution under stirring, and heat until complete reaction. Add hydrochloric acid to pH=4.5, heat to 90°C, concentrate and filter. The filtrate is cooled and the crystals are filtered out. Wash with water and dry at 70°C to obtain disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate.
4. Product usage:
Among the salts of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, the disodium salt is the most important. It is an important complexing agent. It can also be used as a substitute for EDTA-Na in the solution before electrochemical copper plating, gold plating, lead-tin alloy plating, electrochemical polishing of steel parts, and copper parts before silver plating. It is also used in detergents, liquid soaps, shampoos, agricultural chemical sprays, color photosensitive materials processing and bleaching fixatives, water purifiers, PH regulators, retardants, etc. In the chemical reduction initiation system for styrene-butadiene rubber polymerization, disodium EDTA, as a component of the active agent, is mainly used to complex ferrous ions and control the polymerization reaction speed.
Disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate can be used in jams, vegetable purees or sauces (except tomato sauce), with a maximum dosage of 0.07g/kg; used in preserved fruits (only sweet potato preserves), pickled vegetables, canned vegetables, nuts and For canned seeds and canned grains, the maximum usage amount is 0.25g/kg; for compound seasonings, the maximum usage amount is 0.075g/kg; for beverages (except packaged drinking water), the maximum usage amount is 0.03g/kg. At the same time, GB 2760-2014 stipulates that calcium disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate can be used as an antioxidant in compound seasonings, with a maximum usage of 0.075g/kg.
